“A random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by a person or persons wishing to either assist or cheer up an individual (Wikipedia).

Have you ever heard the phrase pay it forward? Popularized by the movie of the same name, paying it forward simply means that the recipient of a good deed has turned around and performed a random act of kindness towards someone else. In 1995, www.actsofkindness.org was founded to inspire people to do exactly that - give back to their community. They have become overwhelmingly successful by helping educators, students, faith groups, and many more- all by paying it forward, spreading the word, and giving back to people in need. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, this is the perfect time to stop and reflect on what you’re thankful for…and maybe even be inspired to ‘pay it forward’ to someone else.

www.actsofkindness.org has posted hundreds of motivational stories from people across America – all demonstrating just how easy it is to perform a random act of kindness.

While Nine In Ten American Homeowners (91%) Agree That It’s Important To Reduce Their Environmental Impact, Nearly All (98%) Agree That It’s Important To Reduce Energy Use In Their Homes To Save Money

New York, NY – It appears that when it comes to their homes, Americans might be ready to usher in the ‘green’ era. According to a new poll among American homeowners conducted by Ipsos Reid on behalf of Icynene, while nine in ten Americans (91%) agree that it is important for them to reduce their impact on the environment wherever possible, nearly all (98%) agree that it is important to reduce energy use in their homes to save money.

Despite this apparent environmental concern, however, it seems to go hand in hand with financial prudence. While 12% of Americans say that they would spend additional funds to make their home more environmentally-friendly, whether it saved them money in the long run or not, the vast majority (73%) say that they would only spend more money if they would make it back in savings. One in ten (15%) Americans say nothing would make them spend more money to make their house more environmentally-friendly. ”

What will you do with your prize winnings?
My Husband Bob and I have been remodeling our kitchen, dining room and living room area since last winter, but our lawnmower died last week and we also need a snow blower.  So as of yet I'm not sure what too do with it.

Why did you decide to join the i-Say panel?
I thought it would be interesting.

What do you like about being an i-Say panelist, or what do you like best about taking surveys? Surveys help make changes.  If my opinion helps change something for the good,  that's all the better.

What did your friends/family say when they found out that you won?
They thought it was great.  They were amazed that I could win something like this on the internet doing surveys.

Have you ever won anything before this? When I was 5 yrs. old I won a coloring contest.....does that count?    I want to thank you again for my winning and keep those surveys coming!
