What's Been Said...

In a previous Ipsos Online Express Survey, we asked i-Say panelists a variety of questions about shopping habits. Here are some interesting findings.

Overall, 62 percent of panelists shopped online and 58 percent made purchases. On average, women are slightly more likely (64% versus 61%) than men to shop and make a purchase online (60% versus 55%).

  • Younger (69%) panelists seem more likely to shop online compared to older (55%) panelists.
  • When it comes to the actual purchase, younger (64%) panelists are more inclined to buy online than older (51%) panelists.

Specific reasons why panelists won't buy online include not being able to view products before buying (22%), worrying about secure transactions (14%), and shipping costs (12%).
